Microsoft revolutionized the world of technology at the beginning of February by announcing an integration of ChatGPT with the Bing search engine and the Microsoft Edge browser that would be called “Prometheus Model”. An announcement that did not catch us by surprise, since the company invested at the time $10 billion in OpenAI, the creators of ChatGPT, and some kind of such feature in Microsoft products was expected.
The integration, available to those who are part of the Microsoft Edge Insider program, is being used by more and more people, and its creators have high hopes for it. According to Reuters, Microsoft has started a round of talks with different advertising agencies in order to find a way to monetize the new AI present in the Bing search engine.
In one of the meetings that took place, Microsoft showed a major agency the new features of Bing and said it planned to allow the insertion of paid links in the search result responses generated by this new AI.

Automated results that still need to be fine-tuned if they are to be used as a location for advertising. Google, which also recently presented its own artificial intelligence: Bard, saw how an error in the responses of its AI caused it to lose 120 billion in stock market valuation. In addition, Microsoft’s own AI had a rather erratic debut and gave somewhat “flashy” answers in its first days of public use.
According to sources consulted by Reuters, Microsoft is already testing the insertion of traditional search ads in the answers automatically generated by the Bing chatbot. The company is also planning a new advertising format aimed at advertisers in specific sectors, which will depend on the request made by the user and the type of product or service they are looking for.
