Recall, or “memories”, is the name of this new Artificial Intelligence-based feature, which aims to bring a significant change in terms of Windows usability. With this system, users will be able to ask the AI about various actions they have performed in the past while using their PC. Recall records everything that happens on the screen, including both the content that appears and the actions that the user takes on their computer.

This feature has been announced at a recent Microsoft event, where once again they demonstrate their interest in turning Artificial Intelligence into one of their main emblems. In fact, with advances like this, it is evident that Microsoft is one of the companies that has gained the greatest advantage in the AI market, which gives them an advantageous position in this sector as well.

The ethical limits of AI

The fact that Microsoft has released a feature that is monitoring everything that happens on the user’s screen once again highlights the importance of having certain privacy limits in the services that a user receives. Nowadays, especially in the European Union, there are laws that protect users, but despite that, this exposure ends up being much more invasive than other systems launched to date.

On the other hand, Artificial Intelligence is also being regulated by the European Commission, whose law, currently being prepared, will eventually come with a draft that will establish limits and restrictions on the practices that AI can carry out, at least in European markets.
