Just a few weeks ago we told you here details about Minecraft update 1.20. A lot of information is known about this update, but we were missing a very important piece of information: its official name! Yes, we had everything that has been included in this update, but not its name. Thanks to Minecraft’s own profile, now we have it: The Trails & Tales.

This update, which is now available first to beta owners in both snapshot (Java) and preview (bedrock) versions, is “about self-expression, namely through representation, narrative and world-building. In this journey, all these elements come together,” says Agnes Larsson, the game’s director. “Minecraft worlds belong to the players, as do their stories and paths about them.”

According to the official information published on the blog, the final date of the update for all players (and not only beta players) is not yet fixed, only that it will arrive “later this year”.

In this update we will enjoy cherry blossoms, a new biome where new trees can also be broken down and turned into a complete set of wood, including new hanging signs and cherry saplings to grow more pink trees.

On the other hand we have the archaeology set. In this we will find a new type of sand -suspicious sand- near the desert temples, and using a new tool, the brush, we will be able to remove the blocks of suspicious sand to discover hidden tools, bones, sniffer eggs and ceramic fragments. In addition, we will have the sniffer, the winner of the 2022 Minecraft Live mob vote arrives in this world. From now on, sniffer eggs can be found in the new archaeological sites near the desert temples.

Minecraft is more alive than ever, and we’re not just saying that because of Squid Craft Games 2.
