Due to some strange reason, it seems to have become fashionable among celebrities to hide the name of their children from the public (a recent example are the cases of Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian). After months of not knowing anything, we finally know the name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s son.

The Daily Mail has been the one to reveal the information thanks to the birth certificate. According to this, the baby’s name is RZA Athelson Mayers. This peculiar name has a history, since it is a tribute to RZA, leader of Wu-Tang Clan. On the other hand, Athelson Mayers is A$AP Rocky’s real middle name and last name.

If you don’t know how to pronounce it, here’s how: according to The Daily Mail, RZA would be read as Rizza. So you’ll know how to address him if you ever run into him on the street. As strange as this choice may seem, the truth is that Rihanna has proven to be a big fan of Wu-Tang, one of the most important groups in the rap scene.

RZA is the first child of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. The singer gave birth last May 13, 2022, just a few months after the pregnancy was made public. Just like his name, his appearance was also kept secret. We didn’t get to see RZA’s face until Rihanna herself showed it off in a video uploaded to her Instagram profile.

In February of this year, Rihanna revealed to the world that she was pregnant again while performing at halftime of the Super Bowl. The artist says that at first, neither of them were actively looking for a child. However, they didn’t want to avoid it either. Rihanna explains in an interview for Vogue that her children are “going to teach her more than I could ever teach them.” She also wants to see what they will become in the future.
