With each new version of Apple’s operating systems, users look forward to the new features and improvements that will be incorporated into our devices. We already know what’s new in iOS 17, but we also know that not all of them will be coming to the iPhone on the day of the system’s official release.

Small details for which we will have to wait a little bit longer

This is because, although Apple has already presented the system in beta and we can already create an animated sticker of any photo while it has a few months to finish polishing bugs before officially launching it in autumn, there are some new features that still need more development time. On the other hand, there are some others that will not be, at launch, available in all languages and regions. The list is as follows:

  1. Live voicemail will be available in English only on launch day.
  2. The function of ending AirDrop transfers over the internet, as Apple warns on its website, will arrive “later this year”.
  3. The same will happen with the Journal app, which will surely arrive with iOS 17.1 or iOS 17.2, not with the first version of the operating system.
  4. The complete sentence prediction will be available only in English, although it is hoped that it will include other languages in the future.
  5. The collaborative lists in Apple Music are also a novelty for which we will have to wait a little longer after the launch of iOS 17.
  6. The function to call siri just by saying “siri” It is another that will also arrive only in English.
  7. The same happens with back-to-back requests that allow us to interrupt the assistant with several chained questions.

Right now, in the first beta of the system, we can only say that it will be the AirDrop function over the Internet, the Journal app and Siri’s collaborative lists that will arrive later this year. The expansion to other languages of certain services is something that may take more or less time depending on how the systems are developed.

In any case, although the wait may be a little longer than we had planned, it is clear that iOS 17 is coming to change the way we interact with our devices. New features throughout the system that, detail by detail, represent a more than considerable change.
