Neon Giant and publisher KRAFTON have unveiled No Law, a cyber-noir first-person shooter for PlayStation 5. It’s aiming for a 2026 release, and its big pitch is clear: skip the oversized maps and build a smaller open world with more going on in every corner.
The studio says Port Desire follows a “density over scale” approach. In practice, that means a city packed with detail and built to react, with handcrafted locations, environmental storytelling that actually matters, limited procedural generation, and more than 3,000 dynamic NPCs, rather than a giant map stuffed with empty filler. No Law is being built in Unreal Engine 5, with Nanite, Lumen, dynamic lighting, and changing weather all feeding into a city that feels busier and more alive.
The story follows Grey Harker, a former soldier pulled back into violence after trying to put together a quieter life. Neon Giant also says player choice can seriously reshape what happens. You can even kill key story characters and still finish the single-player campaign. At the moment, the team says there no plans for multiplayer or co-op.
If you want something that sounds a little more deliberate and personal than the standard Cyberpunk 2077 comparison reel, this one probably deserves your attention.
For now, No Law is slated to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2026.
