No scanner? Use your webcam!

This one goes straight to the top of the “It’s so simple, I can’t believe I never thought of it!” pile. If you’ve ever needed to get an image onto your PC, you’ll know how frustrating it can be to be without a scanner. Johnny at Drawn.ca has an interesting (but pretty rough) workaround using his Mac’s iSight and PhotoBooth. As he points out, you can actually use any webcam or even your normal digital camera for a really high-res effect. Actually, although this technique isn’t perfect, it really is a quick and convenient method for sharing something in print format, digitally or online.
