No Such Place demo now available on Steam: Next Fest extraction shooter

ChillyRoom’s No Such Place has landed on Steam with a free June 2026 Steam Next Fest demo, and it feels like The Division run through a Stranger Things filter, only as a top-down PvE extraction shooter.

In No Such Place, you play a U.R.C. agent heading into fractured, anomaly-soaked zones to scavenge, fight grotesque creatures, survive supernatural threats, and extract with whatever you can manage to carry out.

The game’s Steam page says the demo supports solo play or four-player co-op. That’s helped it break into Steam Next Fest’s top 50 most-played demos, while ChillyRoom says it’s getting close to 100,000 wishlists.

ChillyRoom is also promising weapon customization that sounds a little looser and weirder than the usual upgrade tree, with unusual part combinations instead of rigid upgrade paths, and the studio says progress made in the demo will carry over to the full game.

If you’re into looting, crafting, and extracting in a spooky retro-styled world, this looks like it’s worth a download. Just go in expecting early rough spots, including clunky mechanics, an awkward interface, and multiplayer quest progress that still isn’t shared.

No Such Place is aiming for a 2026 PC release on Steam from ChillyRoom, the studio behind Soul Knight and Otherworld Legends.
