Not everything is set in stone in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. They’ve just signed a surprise actor and nobody knows what he’ll do

Does the name Noah Jupe ring any bells? Most likely not. But maybe he’ll sound more familiar if I tell you he’s the kid from A Quiet Place, and that he’s also appeared in The Death of Robin Hood, Hamnet (he was Hamlet, in fact) or Le Mans ’66. It was only a matter of time before Marvel, always on the lookout to cannibalize talent, sank its claws into him.

We still don’t know which MCU character he’ll play, but we do know what his debut film will be: Avengers: Secret Wars, where, apparently, he’ll join up in some “battleworld” with a small group of heroes (at least, if they follow the plot of the original comic). Some think he could be the Beyonder, blending different versions of Secret Wars, but it’s only speculation.

Keep in mind that Jupe is only 21 right now, so, although some point to him possibly being Franklin Richards, the truth is that it’s difficult: Franklin, the son of Sue Storm and Reed Richards, has never been that old in the comics except in alternate universes and time jumps. That said, there is one clue in favor of this possibility: according to his Letterboxd account, he’s watched Fantastic Four several times over the last few days. He may just be a huge fan… or hiding something else.

For now we know little else about the Russos’ new film, beyond the fact that filming has just begun… and that it looks set, let’s be honest, to be the highest-grossing film of all time. Make Noah Jupe Marvel!
