office 2011 updateMicrosoft has pushed an update to Office 2011 users to patch a critical flaw that allowed attackers to remotely execute code. The vulnerability manifested in malicious Word documents or email messages in Outlook where a link would allow attackers to run code remotely. Now would be a good time to check that all other programs on your machine are up to date. Check if Apple has issues any system updates recently, which usually also include security patches.

The patch also fixes an error in Outlook where flags and starred message wouldn’t retain their statuses for IMAP accounts.

The update, 14.3.5, comes in at a whopping 113 MB so it could take a while to download an install.
