One of the best Spanish indie games of recent years is free on Steam for the next few days

Moonlighter, the popular game that fuses dungeon crawling with shop management in an RPG setting with glossy top-down pixel art, can be downloaded on Steam for free. Available only until August 9, if you claim it now it’s yours to keep. A terrific offer considering it’s a highly original game that does a great job of blending two concepts that are completely different.

A game with a charm of its own

The reason they’re offering it for free is that its sequel, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, will leave early access on September 2. Currently in early access it’s proving to be a resounding success among those who’ve been able to play it, resulting in a fresh take on the first game by reimagining its premise in a fully 3D isometric style. Giving it a completely different style.

Version 1.0 will include new weapons, armor, as well as a new combat skill, and, of course, new character and shop customization abilities. What’s more, it will be available on PC as well as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
