One of the best trilogies of recent years comes to its end in complete silence. "Let's go!"

Hollywood, for some time now, has not been able to stay still if something works. Eight years ago, A Quiet Place unexpectedly triumphed at the box office and, of course, they got to work to create a franchise from what was just a story about people who have to stay quiet so that monsters don’t eat them. So far, we have had a sequel, a great prequel, comics, and video games: Did anyone doubt that we would return to the cinema at least one more time?
An Unsettled Place (at this point)
John Krasinski returns for the third time to take the director’s seat with a more than obvious intention: to finish the saga… Or at least everything he is interested in telling. Obviously, seeing the success (the three films have cost a total of 145 million and grossed 900 worldwide), Paramount will always want to make more and more.
In any case, without wanting to anticipate the future, A Quiet Place III has just started filming in New York, and Krasinski hasn’t revealed much in announcing it, with a simple “Here we go!”. Perhaps he has to remain silent as well, who knows. We only know that Emily Blunt (his wife) will return to star in it and that it will take place, inevitably, some time after the second part. At least five years, because the kids must be grown by now.
Personally, I think it’s a shame to return to the main saga after the fantastic and unexpected detour that was its second part, but… well, let’s see, who can refuse a good ticket? In 2027 we will know if the experiment has gone well and Krasinski comes out unscathed as director and screenwriter once again. If it goes well, though, don’t applaud too much. We wouldn’t want them to hear us.
