Apple released a minor update for iOS 8 today and now it has an update for OS X Yosemite as well. OS X 10.10.1 brings major improvements for users suffering from Wi-Fi connection woes. All other users will see minor improvements with the Mail app and connections with Microsoft Exchange Servers.
The major Wi-Fi connection issues were reported by users complaining about slow connections and continual disconnections from the network. The problems weren’t isolated to any one line of Mac or router. Many users found methods of relieving the bug but none worked for all users consistently.
Apple recommends updating to OS X 10.10.1 for all Yosemite users, but only those experiencing the Wi-Fi bug will likely notice a difference.
To get the update, open the Mac App Store app and click on the Software Update tab to download it.
