Football enthusiasts, rejoice! FIFA 23 is finally available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play starting today, Tuesday, May 16th. This is due to EA’s commitment to continuously expand its cloud gaming platform, EA Play, which has been experiencing steady growth in recent years. It also aligns with their partnership agreement with Microsoft, allowing the EA Play catalog to be playable for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

That being said, it is important to remember that FIFA 23 is not only the latest FIFA game to date but also the final FIFA in the franchise’s history. With EA having lost the FIFA license, future installments of the franchise will be released under the name EA Sports FC, with the next one expected to arrive in the coming months.

Nevertheless, it has been a successful year for both EA and FIFA. Recent reports indicate that FIFA 23 has sold more copies in six months than FIFA 22 did throughout its entire lifespan. It has become the most successful launch and the best-selling game in the franchise’s extensive history. Whether they can replicate this success under the less enticing name of EA Sports FC remains to be seen. In the meantime, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play subscribers who have not yet experienced it can now enjoy this classic football game, the final FIFA, the incomparable FIFA 23.
