Diablo 4 is already in our hands, and after the initial server issues, everything is going smoothly. Some players have already reached the maximum level, many game secrets have been revealed, and most importantly, as with any game that allows us to create our own character, many players have started trolling with it. While in Street Fighter 6 people dedicated themselves to creating the most grotesque and absurd characters, the trend in Diablo 4 has been to create action heroes and famous characters from our contemporary popular culture.

It all started in a thread on the Diablo 4 subreddit, where a user named djnobility showcased their character, recreating the legendary He-Man. They nailed every detail, with an armor set and sword that looked like they came straight out of the animated series or the original comics. It was a demonstration of the editor’s possibilities and showcased the user’s creativity.

Another user, named vibrinttt, inspired by djnobility’s He-Man, decided to join in on the fun and take it a step further. They created He-Man’s archenemy, Skeletor, in a particularly armored version that could easily pass as a reimagining of the original character.

Of course, people didn’t stop there. Other players like Lox72 picked up the baton and shared their own creations. In Lox72’s case, it was a version of Kratos from God of War, incredibly faithful to the original character model. The only drawback was that it didn’t have Kratos’ iconic Blades of Chaos. Nonetheless, the rest of the character model could easily pass as a new rendition of the much more questionable Kratos from the original trilogy.

To wrap things up, it was inevitable that some players would recreate the character that is always attempted when given a character editor. That’s exactly what bayne_lawl did, creating a character that is quite literally Walter White. This phenomenon has also occurred in Street Fighter 6 and will likely continue in games released this year, next year, and beyond, where players have the opportunity to create their own characters.

Indeed, this showcases the charm of Diablo 4. Its potential and the dedication of its community are evident. They are truly exploiting the game’s features to the point where the character creator has become an integral part of the experience, shaping how players interact with the game and with each other. It is truly a beautiful thing to witness. Ultimately, we can say that Diablo 4 has extended beyond what its designers had initially planned, and there is nothing more beautiful than that in a video game.
