A new video from PlayStation has been released showcasing the most highly anticipated games for both PS4 and PS5 in 2023. The trailer features a variety of games, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4, Final Fantasy XVI, and Hogwarts Legacy. These are the games that many fans are the most excited to experience. The article below will focus on the titles showcased in the trailer for 2023

The PS5 side of the trailer is studded with numerous notable titles, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and Demon’s Souls leading the lineup. All of these are compelling titles and make for a good launchpad for other titles. The quality of the lineup isn’t surprising, as in the last while, PlayStation has continued to release high-quality games, including Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok, and Stray.

PlayStation releases a new trailer for 2023’s hottest games

2023 is certainly shaping up to be a significant year for PlayStation, with several highly anticipated titles set to release this year. The much-awaited sequel Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games, Final Fantasy XVI and, as previously mentioned, a remake of the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 4, are among the most notable releases this time around. Resident Evil 4 is of particular importance as it generated quite a lot of buzz during Capcom’s showcase last year.

In addition to these highly-anticipated titles, 2023 will also see the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. While Ubisoft has not yet announced a release date, the game is still planned to launch in sometime this year, and it is expected to bring a renewed focus to the stealth-action series. Another notable release is Street Fighter 6, which Capcom has stated is scheduled to launch in June. Gamers are also looking forward to Horizon Forbidden West’s major expansion, Burning Shores, which is set to release in April.

Fans of the survival horror genre can look forward to the release of the Dead Space remake, which is set to release later this month, as well as a fresh new perspective on Alone in the Dark. On top of all of this, PlayStation is also expected to release its VR2, with games such as Horizon: Call of the Mountain. This game and experiences of the like are expected to get players excited for more virtual reality experiences.

In addition to the highly-anticipated titles listed above, the video also highlighted several smaller games that have the potential to be sleeper hits. Stellar Blade is a brand-new action game that will likely appeal to fans of the hack-and-slash genre, while The Lords of the Fallen looks promising in a completely different way. Another exciting title is Tchia, a visually stunning adventure game set on tropical seas.

And, we cannot forget about Wild Hearts, which aims to furnish players with Monster Hunter-style gameplay elements. All in all, the PlayStation lineup for this year looks incredible. There are a number of other games that could be in the works that the gaming giant has yet to release info on, but we’ll keep you updated on the lasted news on the PlayStation front.

I hail from the awe-inspiring beauty of South Africa. Born and raised in Pretoria, I've always had a deep interest in local history, particularly conflicts, architecture, and our country's rich past of being a plaything for European aristocracy. 'Tis an attempt at humor. My interest in history has since translated into hours at a time researching everything from the many reasons the Titanic sank (really, it's a wonder she ever left Belfast) to why Minecraft is such a feat of human technological accomplishment. I am an avid video gamer (Sims 4 definitely counts as video gaming, I checked) and particularly enjoy playing the part of a relatively benign overlord in Minecraft. I enjoy the diverse experiences gaming offers the player. Within the space of a few hours, a player can go from having a career as an interior decorator in Sims, to training as an archer under Niruin in Skyrim. I believe video games have so much more to teach humanity about community, kindness, and loyalty, and I enjoy the opportunity to bring concepts of the like into literary pieces.
