Ready or Not returns to Netflix in the US today

Ready or Not hit Netflix in the United States today, September 1, 2026. The 2019 action-thriller from Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett is back in front of a big streaming audience.

That timing isn’t random. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come opened in theaters in March 2026, and while it’s still not clear how widely the original will roll out internationally, Netflix is bringing back a movie with a real track record. Netflix’s Top 10 data shows it previously reached the top 10 in more than 60 countries and pulled 5.3 million views in its first week during a November 2024 run.

Samara Weaving stars as Grace, a newlywed dragged into a deadly wedding-night game of hide-and-seek with her wealthy husband’s family. And the movie still clicks because it gives you horror, action, dark comedy, and a pretty sharp send-up of wealth, entitlement, and the way powerful families protect their own traditions.

If you missed Ready or Not the first time, or just want to watch it again now that the sequel is out, this is a pretty easy sell. Samara Weaving’s mix of panic, fury, and deadpan disbelief is still the main reason to show up. The “final girl” angle still gives people something to argue about, and that $57 million worldwide haul off a $6 million budget says a lot about why it became such a streaming favorite.

You can stream Ready or Not now on Netflix in the US.
