Pac-Man, one of the most recognized and emblematic icons in the history of video games, returns with LEGO. Now, all those who want to (and can afford to) will be able to build a Pac-Man arcade from scratch using LEGO pieces.

And the occasion called for it: last May 22 was the 43rd anniversary of the launch of the first Pac-Man arcade machine. To commemorate it, Bandai Namco and LEGO have decided to collaborate to launch a new vintage set called LEGO ICONS Pac-Man Arcade. Mr. Iwatani, Pac-Man’s creator, has taken the occasion to recall the impact LEGO had on Pac-Man’s design. Although many may not know it, the character’s recognizable yellow color was taken from LEGO pieces.

As you can imagine, the LEGO set has no shortage of details. Retro enthusiasts will be able to recreate a small arcade machine that simulates the original Pac-Man game. It also has some moving parts that serve to emulate the original movements of Pac-Man and the little ghosts Blinky and Clyde.

The Pac-Man character has managed to transcend the arcade world and has already become a symbol of popular culture. Whether you play video games or not, you probably know the figure of the “Pac-Man”.

If you want to get your hands on the set, get your wallet ready: it will go on sale on June 4 and its official price will be 269.99 euros. You can buy it at any LEGO store or through its official website by clicking on this link.
