Bad news and good news for Resident Evil 4 Remake fans. The bad news is that the Mercenaries mode will not be available today, the day on which Capcom’s long-awaited video game is released. The good news is that it will appear on April 7 as a totally free downloadable content.
We have learned the news thanks to the game’s launch trailer. In this, Capcom offers the typical gameplay footage combined with cinematics, although the surprise comes at the end of it all. Once the date and logo are shown, the screen goes black and returns with the release date of the Mercenaries mode.
If you are a fan of the franchise, you know that this Mercenaries mode is one of the most fun modes in the game. In this mode, dozens of enemies appear on the map in different waves. Our goal is, of course, to kill them all to pass the round. To do this, we will have to collect the supplies that appear after defeating them, as well as explore the environment well.
Resident Evil 4 brings us Leon S. Kennedy six years after his experience in the biological disaster of Raccoon City. Thanks to his determination, he was recruited as an agent under the direct orders of the President of the United States. With the experience of multiple missions behind him, Leon is sent to rescue the President’s daughter, Ashley Graham, who has recently been kidnapped. Leon locates her in a remote Spanish village, but after making first contact, he discovers a fervor beyond reason that grips the local population.
