We’ve been considering the possibility of a new iMac for a while. After the significant overhaul brought by the M1 chip iMac, the potential arrival of a larger-sized model or an updated version with the same size has been appearing in rumors periodically. The most recent ones, provided by renowned analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo and Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, indicate that the new iMac models are on the horizon and will undoubtedly revolutionize design and performance. Rumors for 2024 and 2025

In 2021, Apple surprised us with the release of the 24-inch iMac featuring the M1 chip, a technological marvel in terms of efficiency and power. However, since then, the company hasn’t released any updates for the iMac, leading to speculations and expectations about what the next step in the evolution of this product line will be.

Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his accuracy in predictions, has talked about the arrival of a 24-inch iMac in 2024. Although he didn’t specify which chip this device will incorporate, Mark Gurman has suggested it will be the M3 chip. This new chip, built with a 3-nanometer process, promises to be a marvel in terms of performance and efficiency, featuring, among other things, an eight to ten-core GPU. It’s worth noting that both Kuo and Gurman dismiss the possibility of an iMac with an M2 chip, contradicting rumors reported by Mac Otakara, a Japanese site that claimed otherwise.

But the news doesn’t end there. Ming-Chi Kuo has also hinted at the possibility of a 32-inch iMac with mini-LED technology in 2025. This statement aligns with the expectations of many fans who have been hoping for a “Pro” version of the iMac since Apple discontinued the iMac Pro in 2019. This new 32-inch iMac could have the same dimensions as the 6K Pro Display XDR.

The design of this anticipated iMac is still a mystery. While some rumors suggest Apple might eliminate the distinctive bottom section of the iMac and opt for a design more similar to the Studio Display, information regarding this is still scarce.

While a touchscreen iMac appears in a video, the next two years promise to be eventful for iMacs. Although there is still time for these predictions to materialize, the truth is that Apple never ceases to amaze us. The combination of power, design, and technology promises to make this iMac something worth seeing. Only time will tell if these rumors become reality, but one thing is certain: the eyes of the tech world are on Apple.
