Sylvester Stallone is going through a phase of doing a bit of everything in his career, combining his participation in film productions with important television series. Among his recent projects are ‘A Working Man’, ‘The Stallone Family’, and, most notably, ‘Tulsa King’, which has proven to be a great success and has been renewed for a fourth season.
The King of Friscos
It has been confirmed that ‘Tulsa King’ will have a spin-off titled ‘Frisco King’, starring the renowned actor Samuel L. Jackson. Originally called ‘NOLA King’, the project will change its name and location, moving the plot from New Orleans to Frisco, Texas, although there will be a brief mention of its original city. Filming for ‘Frisco King’ will begin next month in Fort Worth, Texas, and its premiere is expected in 2027.
The quality of the content is assured thanks to the participation of Taylor Sheridan, creator of ‘Tulsa King’. Sheridan has written all the episodes of the first season of ‘Frisco King’, which has generated a lot of hype. Matt Thunel, president of Paramount Television, commented: “We are honored that Taylor Sheridan is writing the first season of ‘Frisco King’. His unique voice will be a delight for both fans of ‘Tulsa King’ and the general audience.
With a narrative that promises to maintain the essence of ‘Tulsa King’, fans are looking forward to another intriguing hero under Sheridan’s pen. This release marks a significant shift in Stallone’s career, who has avoided the trend of other action actors falling into a catalog of lower-quality productions. Instead, Stallone firmly positions himself as a versatile actor in the contemporary entertainment industry.
