The Last of Us continues to move forward as the most successful series of the year on HBO Max. After a sixth episode in which we saw Joel’s more sensitive side and got to know Bill, his little brother, up close, the story stopped in a big cliffhanger in which it was unclear what the future of Pedro Pascal‘s character would be.

However, far from telling us more about Joel and Ellie’s eternal journey, the seventh chapter will serve to tell the past of Bella Ramsey‘s character. The fiction will tell what happened in the DLC The Last of Us: Left Behind, in which we got to know Ellie’s past much better.

In this DLC we could see her relationship with Riley, a character who confirmed that Ellie is a lesbian. In addition, it also served to better understand the motivations and origins of this young woman. Instead of leaving it for the end of the season, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckman have seen fit to place it in the seventh chapter so that we understand it better before moving forward in the story.

When is episode 7 of The Last of Us released?

The seventh episode of The Last of Us will premiere in the early hours of Sunday morning to Monday, February 27, 2023. At 03:00h in the morning (according to Spanish time) it will be launched on HBO Max simultaneously around the world.

As we do every week, next Monday we will bring you a review of the chapter and analyze if the video game adaptation is up to par. So far there has been everything from memorable chapters like the third one to small scenes that were much more epic in the game.
