Season 3 of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be released on April 2 and promises to bring a wealth of new content and features that are sure to excite players. One of the most notable changes is the option that will be provided to console players to disable cross-play in standard game modes, a feature that was previously only available in Ranked mode. This aims to offer a more balanced and comfortable experience for console users.
In a context where the problem of cheaters has been a constant concern within the Call of Duty community, Activision has implemented multiple measures in an effort to combat this phenomenon. The company has decided to intensify its efforts against cheaters by enhancing the features of the Ricochet system, shutting down cheat providers, and establishing the possibility of issuing temporary bans against offenders. These measures are detailed in a recent blog post by Activision, which aims to ensure a cleaner and fairer gaming environment.
The 150-player matches are back
On the other hand, the update for Season 3 will also include the return of the iconic Verdansk map in Warzone, which will offer classic features and an original Gulag design. Players will be able to enjoy intense battles in matches of up to 150 players. In addition, the new season will bring a completely new battle pass, more DLC weapons, operator skins, new multiplayer maps, and a Zombies map titled Shattered Veil.
It is relevant to mention that the update for this season will be implemented on two different days; Black Ops 6 will receive its update on April 2, while Warzone will be temporarily offline for its own launch on April 3. The released patch notes also reveal movement adjustments and weapon balancing, ensuring that both games remain fresh and competitive.
