Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs is one of the most exciting upcoming games this year. With all the big sequels filling up the fall release schedule, this genuinely new game could be a breath of fresh air. Now you can watch a 15 minute video of Watch Dogs gameplay.
A big sandbox game set in a crime ridden city doesn’t sound like a new thing, but Watch Dogs has an interesting near-future technological aspect that makes it stand out. You’ll be able to interact with all the communication and electronic systems in the city to listen in on conversations, create havoc or simply make the city work to your advantage.

It certainly looks great, and should differentiate itself enough from GTA V to draw gamers in. My only concern is that Watch Dogs seems to take itself very seriously, and some of the ‘hacking’ gameplay might become tedious. Sandbox games are often at their best when things get out of control, whereas Watch Dogs seems to be all about staying in control.
We can’t wait to play the game later this year.
