Famous people live in a world completely different from ours. Anyone of us would want to have a mansion, be recognized, go to parties and premieres, live among money and luxury… and they are content to go out on the street and not be recognized in the subway. This is what happened to Joan Cusack, who at 63 years old is practically retired from acting and enjoying her millions… until now.

Joan, the Nobody Lady

The two-time Oscar nominee and five-time Emmy winner (of which she won one) has been retired from the audiovisual world for exactly 6 years, since the release of season 2 of Homecoming in 2020. Now, after her retirement, she has returned to fulfill her contractual obligation with Pixar for the premiere of Toy Story 5. And, of course, she has reminisced about her best times walking the red carpet.

As she said, “I feel very honored to be able to work in this sector for so long, but it is also wonderful to live life, raise your children, be in Chicago, and be a normal person. It’s something that is priceless.” Life is easier when Pixar picks up the phone for you to play Jessie once again, and on top of that, according to rumors, as the new main character of the saga.

We don’t know if we will have Toy Story 6 (although seeing the initial ticket sales figures, they are probably getting to work on it), but it’s not like Cusack has a super busy schedule these days. In fact, her job has been running a gift shop in Chicago, Judy Maxwell Home, and yes, according to reviews on Google Maps, she is working there just like anyone else. Cosplay of a normal person.
