I liked Sleeping Dogs a lot, but it’s starting to become too common for publishers to re-release popular games on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One instead of developing new ones.

Square Enix is going to follow this trend with Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition, a “re-mastered update.”

The Definitive Edition will also include 24 pieces of DLC that are integrated into the game. There’s no price point yet, but Amazon has the game listed at $59.99.

What’s more amusing is the announcement trailer that edits the original live action trailer with bold statements and acclaim that was given to the original 2012 release.

Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition releases on October 14 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One running at 1080p.
