Good news for those of us who have enjoyed Sonic Frontiers. SEGA has announced that this Thursday, March 23, 2023, we will be able to enjoy the first content update for the blue hedgehog’s game. And yes, it is completely free, a detail that is appreciated by the Japanese company.

The first of the new features we are going to have are the new challenges. Once the main story is completed, players will be able to access new “cyberspace challenges” and “total combat” from the title menu. The “cyberspace challenge” is a time trial mode where players compete against the clock to complete several cyberspace stages in a row. On the other hand, the “total combat”, as its name suggests, will make us face multiple enemies, guardians and titans in a timed manner. It is not only necessary to kill them, but also to be the fastest in the execution.

Secondly, the update finally includes photo mode. It may be late, but at least now we can pause the game to take a snapshot of what we are doing.

And in third and last place we have the “music box”. This motley name is nothing more than an in-game library to listen to all the songs in the game. There are a total of 53 tracks available, with 13 of them accessible from minute 1 (you need to unlock the other 40 songs by getting sound memories).

Available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox X | S Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, this content is the first of three planned that will include new features, challenges, playable characters and more. Now I have another excuse to come back after getting the platinum.
