Spotify tops 300 million Premium subscribers in Q2 2026
Revenue rose 14% as monthly active users reached 777 million

Spotify’s Q2 2026 numbers were strong. The company said it now has more than 300 million Premium subscribers, with paid users up 9% from a year earlier. Revenue rose 14% to 4.8 billion euros, and net income reached 545 million euros after a loss in the same period last year. Put together, those results suggest higher prices haven’t knocked demand off track, even if a weaker Q3 profit forecast and slower growth in North America and Europe seemed to push Spotify stock slightly lower.
That growth came even with price increases in markets including the US, Estonia, and Latvia. In the US, Spotify’s Individual plan moved to $12.99 a month in February 2026. Monthly active users also kept climbing, reaching 777 million.
The report included a few more standout numbers. Premium revenue hit 4.331 billion euros. Gross margin reached a record 33.4%. Net income, again, came in at 545 million euros after a loss a year earlier.
Spotify also added more to Spotify Premium: audiobooks, more than 650 long-form magazine articles, Personal Podcasts, Reserved tickets, and a paid remix tool. That remix feature is backed by a licensing deal with Merlin, the independent music licensing partner, to compensate independent artists.
If you use Spotify regularly or keep an eye on streaming, this is one to watch. The Q2 2026 results point the same way: higher prices haven’t derailed demand, even if the weaker Q3 profit forecast and slower growth in North America and Europe appeared to weigh a bit on the stock.
