The series Spy x Family has achieved notable success both in Japan and internationally since its premiere, establishing itself as one of the most popular animes today. The wait is over, as the third season will premiere on September 4th, with a total of 12 episodes. This new installment comes after a two-year hiatus, a time that has allowed the manga to progress, with 63 chapters adapted from the 122 published to date.

Spies Who Fight Desire Each Other

The success of Spy x Family is due, in part, to the collaboration between Wit Studio and CloverWorks, which have masterfully captured the work of Tatsuya Endo. This creative team has not only produced the anime but has also expanded the franchise with the release of Spy x Family: Code White, an original movie that delves into the universe of espionage and the humor that characterizes the series.

Regarding the changes in the creative team, Yukiko Imai will take over the direction and Rino Yamazaki will handle the writing, both with previous experience in past seasons. This continuity could mean that the new stories will not deviate drastically from the tone that fans have come to love.

The first trailer has already been released, suggesting that the plot will explore the protagonist, Twilight’s past, adding a new layer of depth to the narrative. As the release date approaches, it is likely that more previews will be shared to keep fans excited.

Although the short duration of the season may be disappointing for some, in narrative terms, it is good news, as it will allow the manga to continue developing without the anime quickly catching up. This encourages hope that future seasons may follow a more consistent pace and perhaps even return to annual premieres.
