Square Enix hasn’t announced a new Chrono Trigger game through its official channels, and claims about a release called Chrono Trigger: One Mark aren’t verified.

Based on Square Enix’s official news posts, social accounts, and other verified statements reviewed here, there’s been no announcement of a new Chrono Trigger game for the series’ 31st anniversary, or in any recent official update. The alleged title doesn’t show up in any of those materials. It also hasn’t appeared in reporting from major gaming outlets reviewed for this piece, which is the kind of reveal they’d normally cover quickly, especially for one of Square Enix’s most iconic RPGs.

If you follow Chrono Trigger closely, be careful with this one. Anniversary hype, fan-made material, and speculative posts have a way of spreading as fact, especially around a series that’s been near the top of remake and revival wish lists for years.
