Nearly the entire cast of the upcoming “Star Wars” film attended the Star Wars Celebration event in Chicago today. Stephen Colbert interviewed director JJ Abrams, along with actors Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaccs, John Boyega, Kelly Marie Tran, Naomie Ackie, Jonas Suotamo, and many more.
At the end of the conversation, the filmmakers showed off a teaser trailer for the new film, titled “Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.” Buckle up, kids.
The last words in the trailer are, “No one’s ever really gone.” And then it’s followed by the distinctive cackle of The Emperor. Whaaaaaaaaa?
Some other standout moments of the trailer include a heartbreaking hug between Leia and Rey, Lando back at the helm of the Millennium Falcon, and Rey outrunning, then flipping over a TIE Interceptor (likely Kylo Ren’s).

If you’d like to hear Colbert’s interview with the team behind the film, here’s a video of their live panel in Chicago:
