It’s not every day you turn ten years old, so 4A has decided to celebrate by making Metro: Last Light available completely free between March 18 and 25 on Steam. Direct sequel to Metro 2033, adaptation of the successful novel of the same name by Dmitri Glukhovsky and survival horror extraordinaire, would have a sequel, Metro Exodus, which would be released in 2019 and would have an enhanced version for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2021.
Furthermore, 4A, developers of the franchise, confirmed in November 2020 that they are already developing the next game in the Metro franchise for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Adding that they intend to add a multiplayer mode, they have stressed that their intention is to continue to focus on the single-player experience, giving special importance to the game’s story, for which the franchise is famous.
Having been announced almost three years ago, it is to be expected that during this year news about its development will be announced, either at the imminent Showcase or at the nearby Summer Game Fest. In the meantime, we can look forward to playing Metro: Last Light, which we can now enjoy completely free of charge, as long as we don’t miss the offer.
