The creators of Peak are going to publish other people’s video games, and they’ll start with a spectacular platformer

Aggro Crab have struck gold with Peak. What they expected to be a small game that would let them make a bit of money while they focused on other, bigger games has ended up being their breakout hit. And they’ve decided it’s only fair that they do something for other videogame developers with the success they’ve built up. That’s why they’ve decided to establish themselves as a publisher.

Helping more Peak exist in the world

At Aggro Crab they’re looking for videogame developers who are looking for one last push to finish their games. Specifically, they’re looking for projects with no more than two years of development left and that need no more than $500,000 to make it to the home stretch. With that in mind, they’re looking to give independent developers with interesting projects the push they need to be able to launch their videogames at a time when getting funding is getting harder and harder.

And in fact, they’ve already announced the first game they’ve funded. Called Rebounder, it’s a fascinating precision platformer with a ’70s comic-book aesthetic that will captivate fans of distinctive-looking games with slightly challenging gameplay. Because this experience promises to be a little less straightforward than Peak.

While it still doesn’t have a release date, Rebounder will be the first game published by Aggro Crab. And it’s hard to imagine a better calling card or a title more deserving of the support. Needless to say, we’ll be there on day one when Rebounder launches.
