Video game fans are in luck, as they can subscribe to a variety of newsletters that offer weekly updates on video games, technology, and film/TV.
This week, Werner “Wesp5” Spahl, known for his work on the unofficial patch for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, has shared videos and information about a canceled version of Bloodlines 2. These materials compare the style and aesthetics of this initial project with the game released by The Chinese Room last year.
There was a Bloodlines 2 before the one we have, and now we can see it
Wesp5 has released several gameplay sequences and visual material that evidence a focus on interactivity, as well as an aesthetic that recalls the original Bloodlines, despite being in an unfinished state of development.
In their videos, levels such as an office complex and a haunted hospital can be seen, evoking the eerie atmosphere of the original title, in addition to including very RPG-style mechanics that characterized the first Bloodlines.
The editor of PCG Online, Fraser Brown, emphasized that, despite Bloodlines 2 presenting a solid narrative and appealing vampire elements, it lacked adequate secondary content. The Wesp5 videos show that, although the canceled version had a design more friendly to classic gameplay, current quality standards may have changed its perception, raising high expectations among fans that may not be met in a final release.
Likewise, fans can subscribe to newsletters that cover the latest news in the video game industry, with exclusive analysis and details about anticipated titles like GTA 6 and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as important updates on releases and events. In such a dynamic sector as video games, staying informed is essential.
