Final Sentence is a game that is taking the world by storm. With a simple premise, a typing battle royale where we have to type without mistakes against other players doing the same, they have managed to dominate Steam by offering a shocking twist in a saturated genre. But its developers, Button Smash, are asking their future players not to buy their game, please.
Some developers who think about your finances
The reason is not that they don’t want to sell, but that they will soon put the game on sale. With a price of €10.25, its developers have made a statement saying that “those who haven’t bought the game can still save a couple of bucks for a coffee or a can of compressed air for your keyboard“. Emphasizing the importance of this, they pointed out that “seriously, this thing is worth it to clean years of dust and bits of food accumulated on your keyboard”. Something we can attest to.
Although a particular way of promoting their game, the community has reacted excellently to it. Being praised by both fans of the game and people with simple curiosity about it alike, people have celebrated the sincerity and the approach considering their finances. In addition to the peculiar touch of humor with which it has been done, associating it with the game’s theme.
While there is no exact date for when the Final Sentence offer will begin, likely because the developers themselves cannot reveal it, it seems that this marketing campaign has been a success. With almost 350,000 wishlists, the game is set to attract a new wave of players. If you want to be one of them, add the game to your wishlist so that Steam can notify you when it finally goes on sale, and you can buy that long-awaited compressed air spray with the money you save.
