The roguelite lovers are going to love this news. Ubisoft has confirmed that in The Division 2 we will have a playable mode that bets on roguelite. Indeed, you read that right: under the name of Descent, the French company is jumping into the pool to enjoy a new experience that fits the game like a glove, which will be free and will arrive this summer. All in one.
The idea behind Descent is that we can fight against hordes of enemies to achieve the best score and equipment. It’s that easy and simple. We can do it either individually or with the help of other players. The more we advance, the more experience we get and the further we can go in future rounds. That wonderful spiral that the genre provides.
This roguelite mode is part of Season 1: Broken Wings, which will also include a tie-in with Splinter Cell (Ubisoft’s saga). From here, the game will receive much more content in this Year 5: Season 2 will be called Puppeteers; Season 3, Vanguard; and Season 4, Black Diamonds.
From Ubisoft have not wanted to delve further into these contents, although it is expected to happen very soon (as they are closer to each season, of course).
