The Flash has already premiered at a special screening during the American CineCon and the reactions from the public could not have been more passionate. “The Flash is, without a doubt, one of the best superhero movies of all time”, say some. “Believe the hyped people: it really is one of the best superhero movies,” comment others.
Undoubtedly, this is DC Comics‘ big surprise that can turn around the latest bad trend that the studio is suffering. And much of its positive factors are due to the recovery of previous characters, such as Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck’s Batman or General Zod from Man of Steel.
However, as some rumor portals point out, the best cameo of the movie has not been announced, and it is not even Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker or Christian Bale’s Batman… but another much more interesting actor and character.
A surprise that no one expects
If you’ve made it this far, you’re willing to swallow a possible spoiler for the film. So here we go: as some media reports suggest, Nicolas Cage could appear in the film playing Tim Burton’s Superman that never came to fruition.
The Renfield actor was about to play the most important superhero of all times during the 90s, under the baton of the director who had already extolled Batman: Tim Burton. Although this never became a reality, Superman Lives! is a myth among fans, and Andy Muschietti could have taken advantage of it for his film.
