Every month, PlayStation announces a new batch of games for all PS Plus subscribers. Although we expected them to be announced during the PlayStation Showcase, that was not the case, so it is likely they will be announced on the usual date: the last Wednesday of the previous month. That means the games will probably be revealed on May 31st around 5 PM Spanish time and will be available on the first Tuesday of the month, June 6th.
To not keep you waiting any longer, here are our predictions for the free PS Plus games. They are not confirmed yet, and we don’t know for sure which ones will be included, but these are our best guesses for the titles that could arrive on our consoles in the coming days.
The potential games for the PS Plus Essential lineup in June 2023 could be:
Immortal: Fenyx Rising

Right now, everyone is talking about The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Sony can either try to swim against the current or try to ride it and turn it in their favor. If they choose the latter, they have an easy option: they can give away this fantastic game from Ubisoft with their Essential subscription.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is a game developed by Ubisoft Quebec that takes us to a more humorous version of classical Greece, where gods exist, the fearsome Titan Typhon has escaped the Underworld, and a young hero named Fenyx must stop him to save her brother. Heavily inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, this open-world game is charming, fun, and humorous. Although it may not be as groundbreaking as the game it draws inspiration from, it is a delightful experience that will please anyone who wants more of Breath of the Wild but may not be convinced or able to afford Tears of the Kingdom.
The Last of Us Part I

Not everything that HBO touches becomes a success, but it certainly gains a prestigious aura that sparks discussions. The Last of Us didn’t necessarily need that prestige since it already had it, but the HBO touch has undoubtedly brought it into conversations outside of gaming circles. It presents a great opportunity for Sony to close the loop, especially now that the PlayStation Plus Collection no longer exists and The Last of Us Remastered is no longer available.
The Last of Us Part I doesn’t require an introduction. As a remake of the original game and the third iteration following The Last of Us for PlayStation 3 and The Last of Us Remastered for PlayStation 4, it is a perfect candidate as an exclusive title with cachet for PlayStation 5. Sony knows how to seize such opportunities.
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc

To close with a surprise, nothing beats a wild card. Betting on something that nobody sees coming. Let’s say they announce Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc.
Why Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc? Because it’s a great game that recently left GamePass. Because Master Detective Archive: Rain Code, a game from the same creators, is set to release at the end of June. These reasons are more than enough to predict that it could be one of the games for June, as it would be a smart move for both Sony and its developers, Spike Chunsoft and Too Kyo Games, to give a boost to their upcoming title.
