The Last of Us Bloater statue is up for pre-order: $1,799 collectible ships in December 2027

Naughty Dog and Prime 1 Studio announced a new The Last of Us Bloater statue for pre-order today. The December 2027 to March 2028 date attached to it is the shipping window for the collectible, not a new release date for HBO.

If that December 2027 timing made you think HBO had quietly pegged The Last of Us Season 3 for then, that’s not what this is. HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2 premiered on April 13, 2025, and while a third season is widely expected sometime in 2027, this Prime 1 Studio listing doesn’t change anything about the show’s schedule.

The statue itself is a collector-grade 1/4-scale Bloater from Naughty Dog and Prime 1 Studio. The $1,799 standard edition is listed at $1,799, while the Ultimate Deluxe Edition comes in at $2,399, according to the pre-order page. So yes, this is aimed squarely at high-end collectors, not somebody making a casual pickup.

If all you want is a bit of The Last of Us on a shelf, the other Bloater statue might make more sense. Dark Horse Direct and Naughty Dog have also announced a 15-inch version, limited to 1,000 units, with shipping estimated for May to July 2026, according to that listing.

So if you want it, you can pre-order the Prime 1 Studio Bloater now. Just don’t read December 2027 as an HBO clue. It’s a merch shipping date.
