The renowned screenwriter of Pulp Fiction, Roger Avary, has revealed the difficulties he has faced in bringing his film projects to fruition through traditional methods.
In a recent appearance on the popular podcast Joe Rogan Experience, Avary confessed that he previously considered it impossible to make his films through conventional means, a process that is often fraught with obstacles and creative limitations.
A voice in favor of AI
The situation of Avary changed radically after the launch of his own production label, General Cinema Dynamics, specialized in artificial intelligence.
This new direction has allowed him to start the production of three feature films, marking a significant change in his career and in the way he approaches filmmaking. “I go out there and try to do things” Avary mentioned during the conversation, reflecting the frustration he has felt in the past due to the difficulties of the traditional system.
The incorporation of artificial intelligence into her creative process has provided her with opportunities that she previously considered out of reach. Avary can now use AI tools to facilitate production, allowing her to generate content in a more efficient and accessible way.
This evolution also raises questions about the future of the film industry and how artificial intelligence will continue to transform storytelling and film production.
There are rumors in the industry about other filmmakers who might be considering following Avary’s example, using artificial intelligence as a resource to overcome the inherent challenges of financing and the logistics of film production. As this trend gains traction, it will be interesting to see how the landscape of cinema evolves in the coming years.
