Apple TV+ has renewed The Sisters Grimm for Season 2. The family fantasy series returns on October 2, 2026.
If you watched Season 1 when it debuted on October 3, 2025, that probably doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Michael Buckley’s adaptation, about two orphaned sisters in a town crowded with fairy-tale and folklore figures, quickly felt like one of Apple TV+’s most promising original fantasy shows for families.
You’ve probably also seen The Sisters Grimm described as “Once Upon a Time x Rise of the Guardians.” That’s just shorthand, not an actual crossover title, but the comparison makes sense: modern small-town magic, curses, storybook characters stuck in place, and a darker spin on folklore figures, with sharper edges and murkier morals.
If you’re into fantasy younger viewers can follow and adults can still get pulled into, this is an update worth catching. Season 1 reportedly landed a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and it managed to balance nostalgia with real danger and emotional weight. For now, there’s still no official reboot or sequel announced for either Once Upon a Time or Rise of the Guardians.
You can watch Season 2 on Apple TV+ starting October 2, 2026.
