The voice of Zoltan in the series The Witcher has passed away

The world of cinema, television, and video games is in mourning after the passing of Alexander Morton, a Scottish actor who left an indelible mark on the industry. Morton, who passed away on April 15 at the age of 81, was acclaimed for his intense acting career, but is especially remembered for his contribution to the world of video games, where he lent his voice to the charismatic Zoltan Chivay in the acclaimed installments of The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3.

Zoltan is a beloved character in the saga, known for his loyalty to Geralt of Rivia, his straightforward character, and his often carefree humor in a world marked by violence. Morton’s portrayal gave the dwarf a charming and authentic personality, thus solidifying his place in the hearts of players. His Scottish accent and deep voice perfectly complemented the image of the veteran dwarf, enriching the narrative of the universe created by Andrzej Sapkowski.
