If you have been isolated in a remote country without internet these days, you should know that you have missed one of the craziest moments on YouTube in 2023: a roast that has brought together many of the top streamers in the country.

All the participants are famous streamers who appear on platforms like Twitch and YouTube, and I’m sure you’ve also seen them on Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.

Names like Paula Gonu, TheGrefg, Werlyb, Gemita, and many more. The streaming celebrities have joined the roast organized by Team Heretics (a Spanish eSports club) to roast each other mercilessly.

TheGrefg vs Gemita: no one survived

And at the peak of the competition of insults and humiliations, the face-off between TheGrefg and Gemita took place, which had a lot of intrigue because they were a couple for several years and lived together.

And it seemed like they had some resentment towards each other because things started off strong. They exchanged remarks about lasting only 2 minutes in bed, Gemita’s Twitch channel plummeting after breaking up with him, and Ibai taking over his spotlight. It’s better to see it for yourselves.

The best part is the comments from the people sitting at a table watching the roast, whispering their opinions. In one of their jabs, Gemita mentioned that TheGrefg had gotten physically stronger but hadn’t made any effort to save their relationship.

That’s when a girl from the audience said, “Well, he’s not that strong, to be honest.” It was definitely a heartfelt remark.

Is everything pre-arranged?

The calmness of the insults, the lack of interaction, the lack of rhythm… everything seems too rehearsed and calculated, as if a group of people without acting training were playing roles in a play.

It’s like going to watch your nephew’s school play and applauding because the kids are 9 years old. Except here, they’re around 30, and it doesn’t improve the situation.

We don’t know how well-prepared everything is or if the insults are genuine and improvised, but it doesn’t seem that way. It’s a great idea from Team Heretics, who always come up with innovative and risky things, but this one didn’t quite hit the mark.
