There is a possibility that we will have a Blade movie and it is all thanks to Marvel Zombies

The highly anticipated animated series Marvel Zombies will premiere on Disney Plus on September 24, offering a fresh look at the Marvel universe in an alternate context where heroes struggle to survive in a world ravaged by a plague of the undead. Among the characters that will appear is a completely new version of Blade, known as Blade Knight, voiced by Todd Williams.

An imminent premiere series

The fact that Blade is debuting in an animated series before a live-action movie has surprised many, especially since Marvel Studios has faced challenges in developing a new Blade film. The director and co-showrunner, Brad Winderbaum, revealed in an exclusive interview that the initial expectation was for the live-action version to arrive first. However, they feel honored that their adaptation is the first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Blade Knight not only recaptures the essence of the original character but also incorporates elements from Konshu’s Avatar, typically reserved for Moon Knight. This new approach gives a unique and fun twist to the iconic figure of Blade. As Bryan Andrews, co-showrunner of the series, commented, “We weren’t afraid. It’s Blade. But it’s also its own concept.” This bold move creates the opportunity to explore new narratives and challenges in this apocalyptic world.

As Marvel Zombies prepares for its release, references are made to future movies and series that will be part of Phase 6 of the MCU, promising to further expand the Marvel universe and keep fans on the edge of their seats. The return of the vampire vampire hunter in a new light marks an exciting chapter in the character’s evolution within the broad narrative of Marvel.
