Every month we make our calculations of what we expect and what is rumored to come to the PS Plus subscription, that service that in exchange for paying a monthly fee gives us access to internet, cloud storage … and games.
Last month, March, we had some games that were not bad at all, if we take into account that Battlefield 2042 is now one of the best multiplayer games of the moment and was one of the three titles that fell. The other two were Minecraft Dungeons and Codevein.
Now it’s time to flip a coin and think about what could arrive in the PS Plus May 2023 to the Sony console. We expect three quality games for the Essential tariff, but also for the Extra and Premium.
Sony is expected to reveal the free PS Plus games for May 2023 on April 26, with the new titles replacing the current ones on May 2. Fans have until that date to claim April’s free PS Plus games.

No Man’s Sky (PS5/PS4)
No Man’s Sky is one of the best open-world games on PS5 (and other platforms) thanks to Hello Games’ constant updates.
Not only is No Man’s Sky’s procedurally generated universe theoretically infinite, but it’s also incredibly dense in features, exploration elements, and survival gameplay. It’s certainly something PS Plus subscribers could get lost in for hours.
Resident Evil 2 Remake (PS5/PS4)
The high bar that the Resident Evil 4 Remake has now is the fault of this game. Comparing the two titles is certainly something RE fans should do, because they are two incredible works of adaptation to modern times: both in gameplay, and graphics.
Capcom and Sony have a strong relationship when it comes to PS Plus, as many of the original games have appeared on the service over the years. It may be time for that relationship to start expanding on recent remakes, as RE2 dropped in 2019.
Weird West (PS4)
If the scope or scale of No Man’s Sky or Resident Evil 2 is too much, players can enjoy the more intimate adventure of Weird West.
In this game, the player assumes the role of five different characters in an action RPG, which features randomized elements in each gameplay and tells a compelling story that connects the five quirky Weird West characters.

The PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for May 2023 are the most unpredictable, as there are many games and getting it right is complex. For this list is pure imagination:
