They have finally learned: the new Call of Duty’s campaign will be very, very long!

Yes, yes, okay, agreed: very few buy Call of Duty for its campaign and the vast majority jump straight into multiplayer, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have a single-player campaign up to par, after all. After the fiasco of the last game’s campaign, which ended the patience of many as it finished in a flash, they have now promised that Black Ops 6 will have a very long campaign. So long, in fact, that it will surpass the duration of both Cold War and Modern Warfare III combined. We’ll have to see about that.

Obviously, it will vary from player to player (there are very experienced ones, after all) but from Treyarch they promise us that even doing a speed run it will be longer than Cold War, which lasted about five hours. Moreover, they are so convinced that the story mode will be really good that it won’t even have an early access for the campaign: they will be released at the same time, on October 25th. And yes, in addition, the game will be available on Game Pass Ultimate (even though they have removed the trial for just one euro).

So, if you are a fan of Call of Duty, it seems that in Black Ops 6 they have learned their lesson: it will have the classic multiplayer with zombies, different options, various ways to progress in the campaign mode (including varied dialogue trees for the NPCs) and, in general, an improvement in the multiplayer that was lately bordering on mediocrity.

All to keep alive a saga that hasn’t skipped a single year since 2004, right after the release of the first title (although a spin-off did appear). At this point, twenty years later, it must renew itself or die. And if it’s the latter, it has decided to do so by fighting until the end, slamming its fist on the table and proving why it should keep its crown for much longer.
