Third-party Twitter apps aren’t working, according to users

It looks like Elon Musk and Twitter are finally putting their feet down on third-party applications. While no official announcements in this regard have been made, many 3rd-party apps are complaining that users can’t log in from their platforms. They’ve reached out to Twitter to sort it out, but all they’re getting is silence.
One of these platforms is called Twitterrific. The developers have taken to Mastodon, wondering if this is a deliberate move by Twitter to kill third-party applications. In the meantime, others are saying it could just be that the Twitter API has been updated, affecting any developed apps that use it. If that’s the case, it would have been nice if they’d been given a heads-up.

Other 3rd-party apps are showing the same problem, such as Fenix, Feather, Twitpane, and Talon. What’s happening is, if you didn’t get the gist of it yet, users aren’t able to access their Twitter accounts from these platforms. As much as they try, they just won’t let them in. It’s probably made many users wonder if they’re accounts have been suspended or removed for some reason before they researched and found this article.
Sorry, I don’t have a viable solution for you except one: use the official Twitter app.
I’ve always wondered why people use third-party apps for Twitter. The only one I used in the past was Tweetdeck so I could check all my accounts at the same time. While that was fun in the beginning, it soon lost its shine. I guess each of them serve a specific purpose. For now, I’m happy using the actual app for my tweets.
In Elon Musk stories I actually care about, I mentioned yesterday that SpaceX was sending Falcon 9 to launch satellites into orbit. Here is Musk sharing what the flight up and back down was like.
