We are at that time of the year when it seems like no new hardware is being released. It’s a period of rest between the early year madness and the post-vacation return. However, it’s also the time for leaks, like the one regarding the Galaxy Watch 6.
There are still a few weeks left until Samsung officially unveils its upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 lineup, but leaked images suggest that they may have resurrected a favorite feature among fans.
In the leaked images of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, shared by MySmartPrice and renowned leaker OnLeaks, the beloved rotating bezel can be seen, which Samsung tragically removed from the Galaxy Watch 5 series.
Samsung keeps almost all the design of the Galaxy Watch 4
If the renders are genuine, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic appears to be almost identical to the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The images showcase the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in a fully black design, with a brushed metal case and a silicone strap with a magnetic closure.
According to SamMobile, the circular display is a 1.47-inch Super AMOLED, and previous reports suggest it will likely have a resolution of 470 x 470 pixels.
There also appear to be two buttons on the side. No specifications have been reported alongside the leaks, although SamMobile reports that the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will be equipped with an Exynos W980 chipset, which should be around 10% faster than the Exynos W920 chipset used in the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series.

Galaxy Watch 6 features
Other than that, the Galaxy Watch 6 series is expected to offer sleep tracking, body composition analysis, heart rate monitoring, temperature sensor, GPS, NFC, and barometer.
There are also rumors that the device will have a larger battery, measuring 425mAh, slightly more than the 44mm Galaxy Watch 5 (410mAh) and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic (361mAh).
The reintroduction of the rotating bezel is a smart move by Samsung. Many fans of the Galaxy smartwatch series were disappointed when it was abandoned in favor of a new touch bezel in the Galaxy Watch 5 lineup.
The physical rotating bezel is a bonus for users with sweaty fingers and overall provides a more enjoyable user experience.
There is no official release date for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 yet. It is expected to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event, rumored to take place on July 26, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9.
