As James posted out last week, YouTube have just launched a new Multi-Upload tool and increased the upload limit to 1GB. With this in mind, I’ve been uploading a shed load of footage from my video camera that was previously too big to go on YouTube. However, I’ve had mixed experiences capturing footage from my camera onto my PC. The best choice for you depends on your hardware and what editing program you’re going to use but I found that these 5 capture tools were the easiest to use:
- McFunSoft Video Studio – Fast and simple with lots of wizards to guide you
- Debut Video Capture – Designed with first time film makers in mind
- Open Video Capture – Also captures from various webcams and other devices
- Ulead VideoStudio – Professional capturing and editing in one package
- Exsate VideoExpress – Helps you capture and compress video for quicker uploading
