Apple TV+ surprises us once again: Foundation, the epic series based on Isaac Asimov’s award-winning stories, is ready for its second act. The official trailer for Season 2 has been released by Apple, teasing a captivating continuation of the saga helmed by David S. Goyer.
100 years after the first season…
Since the culmination of the first season, over a hundred years have passed, and the galaxy is amidst growing tension. With the Cleons crumbling, a queen plans to exact revenge by destroying the Empire from within. Meanwhile, Hari, Gaal, and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics, beings with impressive psionic abilities that challenge psychohistory. As if that weren’t enough, a second crisis arises: a war against the Empire fueled by the Foundation’s religious transformation.
The new season focuses on the four key characters we already know. Alongside Jared Harris and Lee Pace, who lead the cast, the second season of Foundation brings back Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton, and Terrence Mann, and introduces new faces such as Isabella Laughland, Kulvinder Ghir, Ella-Rae Smith, Holt McCallany, Rachel House, Nimrat Kaur, Ben Daniels, and Dimitri Leonidas, who breathe life into newly introduced characters in this monumental adaptation. Each character will play a crucial role in the ultimate destiny of humanity.
Alongside all the Apple TV+ premieres for June, we can enjoy the second season of Foundation starting on July 14th, exclusively on Apple TV+. The season will consist of 10 episodes released weekly until September 15th. Undoubtedly, Apple TV+ continues to surprise and captivate us with one of the best series in its catalog, among the top five we highly recommend.
